Cigar News: Casa Carrillo Brings Dark Rituals Back as an Exclusive

Casa Carrillo has announced the return of Dark Rituals, reimagined for 2026 with an entirely new blend.

At the center of Dark Rituals is a dark Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, selected for its depth, richness, and natural intensity. The wrapper is paired with a Connecticut binder and premium Dominican long fillers creating a medium-bodied cigar that delivers layers of dark cocoa, espresso, and charred oak, complemented by a touch of black pepper and sweetness that adds dimension throughout the smoking experience.

Rather than recreate a previous expression of Dark Rituals, Casa Carrillo approached the 2026 release as an opportunity to reinterpret the name through a new blend built around richness, balance, and depth.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo stated:

“Dark Rituals gave us the opportunity to work with Pennsylvania Broadleaf in a way that really lets its character come through. It brings depth and intensity to the blend, but what was most important to me was maintaining balance and smoothness from beginning to end.”

Handcrafted at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic, Dark Rituals is box-pressed and offered in three sizes:

  • Relic — 5″ x 50
  • Incantation — 6″ x 52
  • Occult — 6.25″ x 58

The names of the three vitolas extend the Dark Rituals concept throughout the collection, while each format offers a different expression of the blend.

Dark Rituals is available now exclusively at select retailers: Cigars International, including Cigars International Retail Stores, Cigar.com, Cigora and Thompson Cigar.
