Cigar News: GTO Dominican Cigars Announces 12 Yr Aged Oak Barrel Cigars

GTO Dominican Cigars has announced a new 12 yr Aged Bourbon Oak Barrel Cigar inspired by the 33 Oaks of Georgia. The new line will be available in Connecticut, Corojo and Maduro blends, each expressed in 2 vitolas.

  • Figurado 6.5 x 54
  • Corona Gorda 6 x 47

According to Dr. Oscar Rodriguez:

“The Figurado is dedicated to the city of Atlanta where I became inspired by the many Oaks and discovered the essence of the blend, walking the Beltline on Sundays. Full Bodied smokes that will inspire amazing journeys. All tobaccos are Proprietary Dominican from our very own farm. These cigars really tell a story and have an incredible flavor like no other.”

First taste of this new blend was at the Boutique Cigar Festival in Cedar Creek Martinsville Indiana with the Boutique Cigar Association of America (BCAA). GTO Dominican Cigars is presently disseminating  them slowly, starting this weekend at Cigars & More in Birmingham Al and Saturday in Atlanta, Ga.

The company also announced they are releasing a new 8 x 60 PaTaTu Maduro in boxes of 20 Cigars. PATATU means stroke or pass out in Spanish. It’s what happened to Dr. Oscar’s cousins who smoked them without asking how strong they were. So he went with the name.
