Cigar News: Protocol Cigars Announces “The Protocol Phoebe Couzins” the 4th Lawmen Series Installment

Protocol Cigars is proud and honored to announce it’s long awaited fourth installment in the Lawmen Series, The Protocol Phoebe Couzins. Mirroring prior installments in the Lawmen Series, the Protocol Phoebe Couzins is being offered in both a natural and a maduro.

The Lawmen Series continues to follow a more classic, traditional, refined, and regal appearance compared to the modern look of the core line. The Lawmen Series’s concept is to pay homage to prominent figures in the history of American Law Enforcement by using higher primings of tobacco and more elaborate packaging giving it a more sophisticated finish.

Phoebe Couzins was born in St. Luis, Missouri. She became the first woman in United States history to graduate from a law school, later she would become one of the first female lawyers in the United States. In 1887 Phoebe Couzins became the first female U.S. Marshal in the country. Couzins was very much a women’s right activist as well, she was a member of the St. Louis Woman Suffrage Association where she drew attention as a public speaker. Phoebe Couzins was a pioneer, opening the doors for women in law and in law enforcement. It is an honor to present this cigar to pay homage to her legacy, especially during Women’s History Month.

The Protocol Phoebe Couzins is presented in a 6×52 box pressed toro format and packaged in a 10 count box. It is produced at the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez. Production is still supervised under the watchful eye and tutelage of Erik Espinosa. The MSRP is $125.50 per box and $12.55 per single cigar. The cigar is ready to ship and was blended by Protocol, largely with the help of Espinosa’s master blender.

Hector Alfonso Sr. Espinosa’s Master Blender stated:

“I am excited to see these cigars finally get released, I love the way both of these blends came together and are a nice addition to the Lawmen Series.”

Cubariqueño Cigar Company Founder, Juan Cancel closed:

“Like the Bass Reeves, we are proud to feature Phoebe Couzins as the newest addition to the Lawmen Series. It truly shows the diversity of law enforcement as a whole. Men and women from all races and ethnicities come together to serve the public at large.”
