Tarazona Cigars has announced the recent hiring of Willy Marante to be their new VP of Sales & Marketing for the US. Speaking to owner, Eddie Tarazona, he noted that Willy was the perfect fit for Tarazona Cigars. Willy spent the past six years developing retail accounts for Miami Cigars most recently in the Florida territory.
As part of his new role, Marante will be responsible for opening and maintaining new accounts and coordinating with regional Tarazona cigar representatives.
Marante noted:
“First, I have to say that I would not be in this position today with out the Miami Cigar/La Aurora family, I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity offered to me. Thank you for believing in me and molding me into what I am today.”
Tarazona Cigars Owner, Eddie Tarazona stated:
“Willy and I have known each other for over 10 years. Not only is Willy a close family friend from but a respected colleague. It’s an honor and joy to have Willy join Tarazona Cigars as we continue to grow.”
The company’s focus will be on expanded the Tarazona footprint primarily in the New England area and also the Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan).
Willy added:
“When it comes to joining the Tarazona team where do I begin, it’s always been something Eddie and I have talked about. Coming up in the industry around the same time we have always been each other’s cheerleaders and I truly couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with one of my closest friends. I am excited to work with the team, and further continue to grow our brick and motor relationship with our partners across the nation. We have a lot that new things we are working on and we truly can’t wait to share with everyone.“
