Jimmie – you have a problem!!
My wife recently looked at my Humidor and said “Jimmie, you need to be in the Christmas giving spirit” – so here it is, for the first time ever, we are running a Stogie Press “Readers Choice Cigar of the Year” contest.
This is real simple, just comment on the bottom of this article, and state what you feel is the best cigar you smoked in 2019. We will tally the responses and the cigar that comes up the most, will be declared as the Stogie Press Readers Choice – Top 2019 Cigar. If there is a tie, we will randomly pick the number one. Remember, comment on this article!!
The Giving Spirit – Win BIG!!
But it gets better. I will randomly pick 3 readers who post a comment on this article and Santa will be sending you some of my overloaded stash! Don’t worry, Santa will get cookies and whiskey. The 1st winner will be bombed with a HUGE collection (est. value $250.00) and the other 2 will get some gifts too. Each winner will also receive a rare and exclusive Boston Jimmie Private Stock cigar.
Caring is Sharing
It does not stop there, we will also put together a package for Cigars For Warriors, because these brave men and women need some holiday cigar enjoyment. I will be shipping a care package to the Cigars for Warriors headquarters Tuesday – December 17, regardless of who comments on the article.
Get in on Santa Jimmie’s Holiday Gifting
This simple contest will run from now till December 20th, so get your pick in right away and lets see what you all think the best cigar of 2019 was.
Wait, is that all?
No! There will be a special plaque given to the brand selected as number 1 and presented to them at the 2020 PCA Trade Show, if they attend, otherwise it will be sent to them.
So get your vote in now and let your voice be heard and help Santa Jimmie give some stuff away!

This is a tough one cause I’ve had many many amazing cigars this year. I’m going to have to go with the Dunbarton Tobacco And Trust Sobremesa Brulee, once I smoked one I couldn’t stop! Steve killed it with that cigar imo!

I smoked 1 this year and I really liked it. The Acid 20. Over the last few years, I have gotten away from Acids and moved on to more traditional smokes. That Acid 20 is pretty damned good.

Nothing better for me than the Southern Draw Kudzu Lustrum…I loves me a Nic Puro!

My favorite and top pick for 2019 has to be the Antigua Estelo Segovias Madura. That cigar was such a surprise to me! It’s beautifully constructed, smoked well, and the flavors were right up my alley.
So far this year( I will probably smoke 3 or 4 new to me cigars before the end of the year) the best was the liga x by Drew Estate. Hope everyone has a nice holiday and happy new year

This is a hard one Jimmie, as I have so many favorite Cigars in my collection. One that stands out is My Father La Promesa. To me, this cigar has great bones. It provides me a consistent flavorful smoke, and the aroma of this cigar takes me back to the days when I was a snot nose kid in the Bronx, walking in the neighborhood watching the old timers in front of the buildings smoking Cigars while playing dominoes. Unforgettable.
I would have to agree with my friend @BrendaScott the Espinosa M TZ and the Laranja Escuro are my favorites and I can’t decide which one…….
Hands down for 2019 a Hiram and Solomon Veiled Prophet right from the factory shelves while I toured the Plasencia factory in Esteli Nicaragua

The best cigar i smoked this year is a tough one to answer. Being new to the lifestyle, i am still learning my palette. But if i had to choose, id have to say it was the Andulusian Bull by LFD. At $32, it was worth every penny to say the least! Happy Holidays to anyone that reads this!

I have smoked a lot of cigars this year but only one has stuck with me since I smoked it for the first time. That is the Dunbarton Tobacco And Trust Sobremesa Brulee. Steve took out his drive and teed it up and knocked it onto the green from about 325 yards out over a water hazard and barely rolling past the left side green bunker all while Smoking this cigar. I haven’t been able to stop smoking this cigar. I have at minimum 1 a week. Great job Steve Saka!
I would say the Triqui Traca Mi Querida from Dunbarton. I couldn’t put it down.
Just want to say this is a great idea. Great to see consumer feedback
The most memorable cigars I’ve had this year are both from DBL Cigars by Francisco Almonte. The Derrame III and The Extra Viejo.
Agreed, DBL Amarillo Fancy Belicoso.
Sobremesa Brûlée – pls don’t count this vote, I am here for the contest!!! ?
Steve is looking to see what else is out there !!!
For me it’s the Sobremesa Brûlée. Before I tried it, I did not think it would fit in my personal wheelhouse. But as I smoked one, I loved it.
