No Joke Smoke Dinner – 80’s Night
The 11th annual No Joke Smoke Dinner was held on 3/31/18 and hosted by Kalani Matsuura from Mokuleia Cigar Company. Previous No Jokes were hosted by Bernie Leong from Havana Club Honolulu.
The No Joke Smoke Dinner is one of the few cigar events in Honolulu that is hosted by a small business owner. The dinner is a festive event and this year’s theme was 80’s Night. Our guests always provide us with great energy as many of them dress up to the events theme.
Helping us celebrate the dinner was Chris Weber from Veritas Cigars. Featured cigars were:
- Veritas’s Torch Connecticut
- Torch Habano
- 412
- 3 Blends
Each guest was treated to dinner, 5 cigars and 2 beers. The 5 pack of cigars included all of the featured Veritas Cigars and a special 5 Bros cigar. Guests smoked their share of Veritas Cigars, 5 Bros and some even brought their own personal stash of habanos.
Dinner was provided by Restaurant 604 with the venue located at their outdoor deck and Monster Energy representatives were there to give away free Monster drinks.
One of the goals of the dinner is for our guests to give back to the community. Each year our guests generously donate thousands of canned foods which were donated to the Hawaii Food Bank. Each canned food donated allows our guests to enter a raffle and win amazing prizes. The grand prizes this year included boxes of Veritas Cigars, Wineadors, and two custom Siglo humidors valued at $1000 each.
No Joke Smoke Dinner was possible due to the support from our guests who attended and special thanks go out to:
