Southern Draw Cigars announces general business updates and price increase

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 28, 2018

Austin, Texas – Southern Draw Cigars will inform its valued retail partners of a price increase that will take effect on August 1, 2018.

The little brand from Texas, says that the increase is due to the cost of FDA compliance, most notably the necessity to update package design to facilitate the FDA warning labels on all boxes, bundles and samplers that take effect in August 2018.

Most of the company’s cigars will see an increase of $.20 – $.25 per cigar.

The company has selected the effective date of August 1, 2018, offering current pricing to all retail partners that attend and order at IPCPR 2018, Booth #1065. This “IPCPR only” special price for retail partners who purchase at the trade show will also include FREE shipping for all qualifying orders.

Southern Draw Cigars has made a decision to phase out general production of a few of its SKUS, including the QuickDraw petit corona and short panatela in its popular Connecticut, Habano and Pennsylvania blends citing the increasing cost of producing the line which now outweighs the intended value proposition of the $5.00 – $6.00 line of cigars.  The company will continue to produce the QuickDraw corona gorda size in all three blends and will provide an updated inventory to those retailers that wish to purchase the remaining petit corona and short panatela sizes.  The phased out QuickDraw sizes will remain available via special order production only.
